I met this sweet family back in early February when I photographed the little Peanut's Valentine's Day photos. Lucky for me, Mom and Dad got engaged since the last time I saw them and I got to snap a few engagement photos besides the family photos.

I missed a few weeks in the Mommy Project (www.516-photography.com/mommy-project/). But the important thing is that I started again! I was inspired by this week's theme: Sweet. Remember that adorable Cake Smash I shared a few days ago? (If you didn't see it just scroll down to my previous post!) Well this is adorable little Ella during the Portrait portion of her one-year-photo session. What a sweetie! An I am so excited that I will get to spend some more time with her and her wonderful mom and dad when I photograph their wedding in just two months!

When I am setting up and preparing for the session my thoughts are all about colors and textures and what feelings I want the photos to evoke. But the moment that sweet, tiny bundle of joy is handed to me it becomes less about a job to be done and more about the divine beauty that I have the honor of capturing. I am forever grateful that I get to experience this again and again. And this beauty was no exception:
